Capabilities
HIPOT-RR has capabilities in technologies (thick-film, LTCC technology), knowledge in numerical modelling, and experience in the design and fabrication of different ceramic microsystems, which includes from simple sensor devices (mostly pressure or temperature) to more complex ceramic microsystems.
Within the past 5 years, together with the Jožef Stefan Institute and the CoE NAMASTE, HIPOT has developed advanced LTCC technology for the fabrication of three-dimensional ceramic structures. Based on this technology HIPOT-RR, together with HYB, designed and developed different pressure sensors and few of them were transferred into production at an industrial partner, which commercialized the sensors on the market as an innovation. Furthermore, the advanced LTCC technology is suitable for the fabrication of complex ceramic structures for use as chemical micro-reactors. HIPOT has experience and is also capable of designing such microsystems.
HIPOT-RR has been a partner or leader of many national applied and basic research projects and also a partner or local coordinator in several international projects (bilateral, 5.FP, 6.FP, 7.FP, EUREKA, NATO-SfP, ESA).
